Actually we should EXONERATE Jehovah's Witnesses, because

United Nations churches.
by Ignoranceisbliss init must of been around 1992. i remember all the chatter among local wirnesses was about how the united nations was setting up there own churches around the world.
it seems like there was even a newspaper article to back this up.
it was obvious that this is how governments would finally turn on religion.

Chick tracts were banned from the very ecumenical Anglican cathedral. The fear they spread was the factor. So I suppose more than the Witnesses are bothered by the United Nations.

The only "churcH" I know is the interfaith chapel at the main UN building in NY. Many interfaith or no faith couples decide to marry there. A close friend was an international civil servant for the UN. He would tell me of the various coalitions that existed. Language is a source of friction. French was used by almost 1/3 of the countries. Within a few years, only France wanted to use French. The rest wanted American. It had little to do with English language and almost everything to do with love of Hollywood films.
My family used to go on tours. I saw no great evil. One more example of how what the Witnesses preached did not conform to real life.

Let Canada take even more! I don't care if Canadian culture is destroyed. People like me, a dedicated liberal political activists, are saying pull in the reins. Control the border. There are some solutions. We can't even discuss them in the US b/c our political system is gridlocked. It is not the past. Canada can have the Statute of Liberty.
Groups are successfully integrating in America and adding positive attributes to our culture. Hail some NYC taxis all by yourself and your opinion might change as you fear for your very life.

I have faith for the first time. Hard questions exist. There is no need to listen to fools. No man can subjugate me. Since college, I can discuss my belief and lack of such with members of different religions or no religion. It is my conscious choose. No one is going to beat me or not talk to me because I am not compliant.

Its preliminary content will focus on Richard Dawkins films and convention content. (Ouch at convention). They will counter ghosts from the History Channel, etc. The channel will counterbalance all the religious content that we probably accept without thinking. If dogs and Sarah Palin have their own channels, atheists should have one chaannel.
I neglected to see a start date or even an official channel name. The producers could pull content from this site.

I enjoyed reading about your experiences. Altho I've had a few very close Chinese-American friends, I have no desire to visit China. Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong might be exceptions. I love the Asian merchandise at Gumps, which is a San Francisco version of Tiffany's. The jade carvings are exquisite. Chinoiserie is attractive to me.
We used to get free food in Chinatown to celebrate something Sun Yat Sen did.

Writing campaign to Washington DC papers in view of International Convention
by Londo111 inive heard from a credible source that the landover (dc) international convention is important to the society in view of the 100 year anniversary of "kingdom rule" and the location being near the capital of the "seventh world power".
perhaps they hope this particular international sends a message.
we know that come convention time usually there is some feel good fluff piece in the newspapers about the watchtower religion.

There is no way the United States could ever send back all the illegal aliens already here. If you can't stop teenagers, how can you protect me from Al-Qaeda. Serious groups have offered decent proposals but both parties want to play politics as usual. Our culture is being destroyed. American will disappear as a language. I focus on one group b/c the others learn English in record speed. The other groups place high value on education. I even asked one why they tend to not bother to learn English. The person said they don't expect to spend more than one year in the United States.
